David Harris Responsible for the selection of colors and finishes, and coordination
of fabrics, Recipient of Bachelor of Arts, cum laude, 1971, and Master of Arts, 1976, Degrees from San Francisco State University, Mr. Harris possesses expertise in Art History and has been an Art Educator in addition to his successful painting career. A native of the San Francisco Bay Area, Mr. Harris has enjoyed a prolific career, painting both realistic subjects and abstraction. His work has featured in solo exhibitions, including the Maturango Museum, Ridgecrest, CA and the North Central Washington Museum, Wenatchee, WA and an additional 30 group and solo exhibitions. His work had been featured in numerous publications, including Palm Springs Life, Southwest Art, and Art in America. As a muralist, Mr. Harris has executed a broad range of commissions, which include ceiling and wall Murals for the Penthouse Suites at Caesar's Palace, Las Vegas, NV, ceiling murals for the Olds England Inn, Victoria, BC, and First American Title Guaranty Company, San Jose, CA, and wall murals for numerous branches of the Charter Bank of London. Murals by Harris & Kasten grace significant homes in Bay Area communities such as Atherton, Hillsborough and Palo Alto, California. David Harris produced impressionist murals for a palace in Saudi Arabia, which were installed along with a "sky" ceiling Mural, painted on site. Current commissions include a mural triptych Mediterranean vista to be installed in an Atherton, California dining room and a trellised ceiling mural to grace a Monterey County home.
