By the time David Harris and Richard Kasten put together a successful Architectural and Interior Design firm in the early nineties, Mr. Harris' reputation as an abstract expressionist artist and representational muralist was widespread in the Corporate and Art Gallery scene. Painting murals for such diverse clients as Caesar's Palace in Las Vegas, Chartered Bank of London in Northern California and First American Title in San Jose, Mr. Harris demonstrates his ability to meet the challenge and wide diversity that each project presented.

Combining his talents and skills with Architect, Richard C. Kasten, they formed a unique design firm in 1992. Utilizing Richard Kasten's interests and skills in art and architecture, the team expanded even further their creative talents to include painted ceilings, large murals of landscapes, exquisite faux finishes and other decorative painting projects.

While at first painting murals and easel size works for Mr. Kasten's corporate clients, Mr. Harris encouraged the growing interest of Mr. Kasten to also paint in collaborative efforts. Their styles and tastes were harmoniously merged. With this partnership, a unique team was formed not only combining many traditional skills of a design firm, but also included the fine art abilities of both partners.

The work of Harris & Kasten has been featured in numerous design publications. They are the recipients of several awards for design excellence and have been featured in desingers' showcase homes throughout the greater Bay Area.
